This course introduces participants in the foundations of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), preparing students for Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Foundations Associate certification (1Z0-1085-23).

It is designed for database administrators, developers, network architects and IT professionals who wish to know and apply the concepts of Oracle cloud infrastructure.

Following the practical Learning Method methodology, students will apply the knowledge acquired in real Laboratories of Oracle Cloud, developing business projects and simulations.

Participants will learn to:

Understand the fundamental concepts of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure.

Manage networks, storage and safety in the cloud of Oracle.

Implement databases and services in OCI infrastructure.

Use monitoring and management tools in Oracle Cloud.

The course includes access to the Oracle Cloud platform, allowing participants to acquire practical experience in the administration and configuration of cloud environments.

Upon completing the course, students will be able to:

• • Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Core: Understand the global architecture of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI)
• • Networking in OCI: Configure and manage virtual networks (VCNs), subnets, IP addressing, VPNs, and security rules
• • Cloud Storage Management: Administer cloud storage using OCI Block Volume, File Storage, and Object Storage
• • Compute Services: Deploy and manage compute instances in OCI, including Bare Metal, Virtual Machines (VMs), and Autoscaling
• • Load Balancing: Configure and manage load balancers in OCI
• • Data Migration: Execute data migrations to OCI using Data Transfer Service and Storage Gateway
• • Database Management in OCI: Deploy and manage Oracle Cloud Database Services
• • Autonomous and Traditional Databases: Configure Autonomous Databases and Database Systems in OCI
• • Database Security: Apply security best practices using Oracle Data Safe
• • Governance and Security in OCI: Configure identity and access management (IAM)
• • Compliance and Security Policies: Implement security and compliance policies
• • Cost and Billing Management: Manage OCI costs and billing
• • Monitoring and Logging: Monitor cloud services using OCI Monitoring, Alarms, and Log Analytics
• Hands-on Approach
• Students will apply each concept through hands-on labs in Oracle Cloud and simulated enterprise projects, ensuring their readiness for real-world environments and official certifications

To enroll in this course, participants must have:

• • Basic understanding of IT and networking, including IP addressing, virtual machines, and databases

Learning Methodology

The learning methodology, regardless of the modality (in-person or remote), is based on the development of workshops or labs that lead to the construction of a project, emulating real activities in a company.

The instructor (live), a professional with extensive experience in work environments related to the topics covered, acts as a workshop leader, guiding students' practice through knowledge transfer processes, applying the concepts of the proposed syllabus to the project.

The methodology seeks that the student does not memorize, but rather understands the concepts and how they are applied in a work environment.

As a result of this work, at the end of the training the student will have gained real experience, will be prepared for work and to pass an interview, a technical test, and/or achieve higher scores on international certification exams.
